About Us

Before moving to Uganda, Jim worked in restaurants for 11 years, most recently as the executive pastry chef for Phil Stefani Restaurant Group in Chicago. Margaret, a musician and singer, studied music business at New York University and completed her master’s degree in international public service at DePaul University. We are passionate about using our skills to serve the oppressed, and have participated in mission work and sustainable development projects in the Philippines, Bolivia, Mexico, and Uganda. We moved to Soroti, Uganda with our son Elliot in June 2011 to begin long-term service with International Teams.
